Week 27-Manchester England-Birkenhead

Dear Family,

It has been a week of a spiritual feast both with interview and trainings as well as General Conference. It has been a good week. Being in a three-some is still a learning process. My MRI went well on Friday morning. It was very quick and easy, only about twenty minutes. The knee has been about the same for a few weeks now. Pain fluxuates at different levels from time to time but nothing too serious. I have a return appointment for my MRI results on the 18th of April. I might find out before than but no later than the following date.

First, I had my interview with President Bullock this past Wednesday. It was great. He said he continued to hear good things about me and that he feels I will be a leader in the mission. He also said that I would be leaving after this transfer (April 20) unless the Lord says otherwise. He emailed me the following letter this week:

Elder Starr,

I am pleased with your progress and feel that you are making good strides on your mission. You will have the unique opportunity to help Elder Ashcraft train Elder Herrin until the end of the transfer so there is much for you the learn in that process. Keep up the good work and let’s work on getting your knee fixed. Keep us informed on how the MRI goes.

General Conference was a spritual feast. I absolutely loved it! There is nothing quite like Conference as a missionary. President asked us take to take questions with us to Conference and promised they would be answered. I prayerfuly selected two questions and kept them in mind throughout. We were able to watch every session except Sunday Afternoon (it wouldnt be broadcasted until 9 pm), it was the same last time as well. Both of the questions I took were answered in the same talk by Elder Bednar. The Spirit witnessed to me of the truthfulness. It was a sacred experience. I am so grateful for the Lord's continued answers to prayers and for the wonderful guidance the prophets and apostles give us.

Teaching has been lacking lately. We can get some lessons on the spot but nothing consistent. Have still not been able to get in contact with Billy. We have called everyday and have tried by his home a few times as well. We have taken the idea on board of having members starting to ring him and his contact details have been given out to the members so that is in the process. With that in mind, my Spirit is high and I'm doing fine. We are a forever finding mission, but we don't want to be finding forever. We have been working very hard speaking to everyone, everywhere and our finidng number have been enormous. The Lord will bless us as we continue to be diligent.

I did get the chilli a couple weeks ago and had frito pie last night. It was great but not fantastic. I don't think it will ever be fantastic until you make it again mama because you make it with love :) Birhtday wishes may be a wide-collared cuff link shirt, maybe something texas with pictures and old spice deodorant. They dont have old spice stick in England. But again those are just wishes and they don't have to be granted. Old Spice for sure though. I think that is almost a need ha

I love you all. I love the gospel. I love how our prophets and apostles teach it so simply and profound. That is what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is. It is pure religion and love. God's love continues to manifest His love to us in so many ways. I love the covenants that each of us have made with our Heavenly Father and the promised blessings in them. Thanks again for your wonder emails you send and the great detail you talk about back home. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Love,
Cameron
