Week 2 MTC: September 22nd, 2010

Hello from England!

Unfotrunatley my email time is only 30 minutes so I dont get to have a lot of time.  My street contacting activity went amazing!  I'll be sending the details from copies of my journal about the activity to the fam and should probably be there by late next week.  I was amazed by how quickly the Spirit has already worked on me. I got my card on Friday. Everything is still going well and time has seemed to speed up a lot since I last wrote.

I get to play basketball every once in a while, but definitely not enough.  The players here arent very good either so theres almost no competition which doesnt help my game at all.  Most of the time we play football or "soccer" which is okay I guess but I'm slowly starting to love it. Elder Hawkins is from England and he is absolutley amazing!  I just like to sit back and watch him play. Good to see my 'Horns beat Tech 24-14.  Hopefully that keeps up and we can get past our toughest test which I think will be the dumb Okies.  Thanks for the update, Mom, keep 'em coming.  Continuing on with sports, what Dad shared with me about Colton is awesome.  I have been praying that Colt will have a good senior year and a great season.  Colton, just remember when a shot goes up, go get it.  If I would have been more aggresive with anything last season it would have been that.  That my part of my game has developed way to late.  Keep up tlhe good work Spock :)

My district is fantastic.  They all have unique things about them and I love each of them.  Some can be weird sometimes (including my companion), but its all okay.  We had a fantastic district devotional the other night and the spirit was really strong.  They all have a love for the gospel and great testimonies.

It rains almost everyday but it doesn't seem to bother me.  The food has continued to be good and I seem healthy.  We leave the MTC on Wednesday the 29th.  The A.P.'s from the Manchester Mission will be picking us up straight from here, while the others will take a coach (bus) all the way to either Scotland/Ireland Mission or Leeds Mission.

I love you all and hope all the best for you.  I have been extremely comforted by all of your prayers and I hope you have felt the same about mine.  I think that you're right Dad about it being easier on the missionary than it is on the family.  Continue to do well in work, school, and the gospel, and all will be well.  My 30 minutes is up unfortunately :(

Love,
Elder King Cam
